We provide compassionate care and innovative healthcare solutions to improve the well-being of everyone in our community.
Generational Health Behaviour Changers Foundation is a Registered Ghana-based non-governmental organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of underserved communities through compassionate care, health education, and sustainable interventions.
Founded in December 2019 by visionary advocate Mr. James Kwofie, the Foundation was born out of a desire to address growing health disparities in deprived areas across Ghana. Our journey began with a comprehensive health needs assessment conducted in March 2020 by a team of public health experts, senior nurses, and professionals in Assakae, a community in Takoradi, Western Region.

As a single mother with limited healthcare access, Ama Serwaa had never had a proper wellness screening until attending our medical outreach in Tarkwa. When our team discovered early signs of hypertension, we provided immediate education and referral for treatment. Today, Ama is successfully managing her health and educating other women in her community about the importance of regular screenings.
After losing both parents at a young age, Kwabena Mensah's education seemed impossible despite his academic excellence. Our foundation provided him with a scholarship and enrolled him in our vocational training program in Sekondi. Today, Kwabena is a certified electrician with a stable income who mentors other youth and volunteers at our health outreach programs.
Struggling with reproductive health issues and lacking proper education, Mariam Fuseini attended our women's health empowerment workshop in Apremdo. After receiving free screening and comprehensive education on menstrual hygiene and family planning, Mariam now confidently educates her daughters and has established a women's support network that has reached over 100 women in her community.
As a single mother with limited access to healthcare, I had never had a proper wellness screening until I attended one of the Foundation's medical outreach programs. They checked my blood pressure, educated me on women's health, and referred me for further care when they discovered early signs of hypertension. Today, I'm managing my health better, and I owe that to their care and compassion.
I lost both parents at a young age and had no means of continuing my education, even though I was always top of my class. Generational Health Behavioural Changes Foundation stepped in with a scholarship and enrolled me in a vocational training program. Now, I'm a certified electrician with a stable income. Their support gave me hope and a future.
I attended one of the Foundation's HIV/AIDS awareness campaigns in my community. The session was informative, respectful, and eye opening. I got tested for the first time, received counseling, and learned how to protect others and myself. It empowered me to speak openly about sexual health with my peers and become a peer advocate myself.
As someone who had never donated blood before, I participated in one of the Foundation's blood donation exercises out of curiosity. The experience was professional, well-organized, and deeply rewarding. A few weeks later, I was told that my blood had helped save the life of a child. That moment changed my perspective, and I've become a regular donor ever since.
I used to struggle with reproductive health issues but had no access to proper education or services. During a women's health empowerment workshop organized by the Foundation, I received free screening and comprehensive education on menstrual hygiene and family planning. It was the first time I felt seen and supported as a woman. The knowledge I gained has improved my well-being and that of my daughters.
